deffinetley meet in a public place just in case he’s not right for you so instead of him breaking your heart break his, then it would cause him major embaressment or if it goes the other way around lots of people can see if you two are right for eachother. I think you guys should maybe go to like ummmm… a cafe. Good Luck :-)

I suggest meeting in a public place in the daytime. A museum or cafe’. Make sure others know where you are going. I met my husband of 8 years online so good luck!!!!

By the way, we met in a public place the first time too…NHRA Races!!! I was 38 and he was 49 when we met but I felt 20!

First off I am sorry some of the other answers others posted were totally uncalled for…anything for points I guess.

Second, make sure it’s a public place. That may seem like common sense but better to repeat it. Perhaps a nice friendly restaurant that’s casual? I happen to love Ruby Tuesday. Movies can be a good option too (btw I LOVED Ghost Rider). I’d say just to make sure it’s an open and casual atmosphere you are more likely to relax and enjoy what comes along.

Bingo, then a sit by the fire on your plastic covered couch.

Day date is a must. For a first date, I think a charming cafe with outdoor seating. Or you can never go wrong with an afternoon matinee. Eliminates awkwardness of having to find things to talk about. This way you can talk about the movie you just saw to break the ice.

making sure their seeing eye dogs are compatable too…..(thats a joke sister)……

Go to a popular restaurant that has a lot of people of there.
Have a nice lunch or dinner and just talk.

That way, if you feel uncomfortable, there are plenty of other people there. When you leave, don’t take the usual route home. Go to another place with a lot of people, just to make sure you weren’t being followed.

Hopefully, all will go well with the dinner and you will have a second date.

Wish you well, just keep caution in mind.
