Is it too late for singles over 40 to marry and have kids?
Is it too late for singles over 40 to marry and have kids? Should there be laws banning middle aged singles 40 and over from getting married?
marriage is for young people to produce offspring, period.
Old people can’t have kids- so why do they want to marry?
The BIBLE cites THE reason to marry as having children.

Except for increased risk of birth defects for woman that choose to have kids over 40, no.
But since I’m not dumb….I can see the undertones of this question in regards to gay marriage.

It’s never too late. My mother remarried when she was 43 and had my little sister when she was 46. She had to go through a donor egg process, but it was well worth it, they are happy as can be. It’s actually kind of funny because I had my oldest a year before my mom had my little sister, so my son is older than his aunt.

God has given people at age 100 children, if you are faithful,obey Him
and have asked Him into your life. He answers all prayers.
He loves us so much it grieves me so much that people go to their graves without knowing His UNFAILING LOVE! GOD IS THE MOST AWESOME THING ANY HUMAN COULD EVER EVEN HOPE TO EXPERIENCE EVER!
I urge all families to all hold hands and ask together. : say this prayer

Put aside your unbelief and Say this prayer so God can come into your life, He is right there waiting, hoping You will make this choice & say it.
He has a plan for your life He can and will help you with everything. He wants you to be the best you can be. He loves you and gave You free will to choose having His unfailing love in your life or not He loved you first and left the door open for you. Its up to you to walk through into His loving arms.

Since you are using the Bible as a referance point, you should read the stories of Abrhamm and his descendents more,but to answer your qeustion. Yes by all means should people over age 40 get married.1). they are more mature and really now what they want out of a marriage.2). who are you to qeustion the love that two people share(goes back to judge not lest you be judge) which in also in the bible.3).why do you feel that people over 40 should not marry, is this a little love envy that I see peeking out.

it’s never too late for a couple to get married, but having kids is an issue once you’re 40. There are so many complications with women that age and pregnancy. men can still produce kids at an older age, but at the same time, he’s old, she’s old, it’s hard to raise a child at that age. I agree that marriage is for young people to reproduce but some people that get married at an older age, already have kids that are grown up, so they just get married for love or a second chance at love. My mom is 45 and wants to find someone her age to be happy with and spend time with. thats all, no kids. lol

If you think that marriage is only for procreation then you’ve got to grow up and smell the roses and realize that marriage is the legal connection for the romantic connection of two people. Even those that are young may make decisions not to have children yet, they marry. Those who want companionship marry because they are committed to each other and want to grow old and older together. They want to cement their connection by marrying rather than living with each other. To have you say that singles over 40 should be banned from marrying shows me how immature you are .. and have no clue what marriage is at all.

It’s not too late to marry in your 40’s. I don’t think they should have kids though…I’ve seen what happens when mom and dad are too old, too tired, too close to retirement to pay attention to their teens…it’s not pretty.
